Patch notes · both gamemodes

Server updates.

What changed on Original and Life, week by week, in plain language. This is the same digest that goes out on Discord after each batch of fixes lands — newest first.

Original

Original oil rig recyclers now reject drug processing

  • Oil rig recyclers previously accepted raw drug items.
  • They now recycle normal items only; existing drugs and diesel can still be taken back.
  • Onshore drug processing and Life processing rules are unchanged.

Menus finish closing when offline characters die

  • Offline character deaths could interrupt closing radio and activity menus.
  • Menus now finish closing for starter supplies, farming and radio events when an offline character dies.

Crouched shots damage zombies

  • Crouching could make zombies ignore damage from landed shots.
  • Landed hits now damage zombies while stealth still controls detection.
  • Original gamemode only.

Schematic collections wait for startup before saving

  • An early server save could fail before collections finished loading.
  • Collections now wait until their saved progress is loaded before saving.
  • Applies to Original during startup and early shutdown.

Cars with fitted engines can be stored

  • Fitted engine parts previously triggered the empty-storage warning.
  • Cars can now be stored with their fitted parts; real cargo must still be removed.
  • The same check applies when selling a car or storing it while its owner is offline.

Military bolt-action soldiers leave time between shots

  • Standard military snipers could fire rapidly and engage from long range.
  • They now wait at least three seconds between shots, fire within 75 metres and have wider aim spread.
  • Health, damage and rewards are unchanged on Original.

Military Station defenders stay near the compound

  • Soldiers could follow players beyond the compound and track movement after losing sight.
  • Defenders now stay near the station, investigate the last known position and lose contact after ten seconds.
  • Military Cache reinforcements follow the same limits.

Seed purchases keep your Outpost reputation

  • Coca and poppy seeds previously spent Outpost reputation on every purchase.
  • Seeds now cost cash only, so buying them keeps your Outpost rank and discounts.
  • Original keeps the same Dealer Rank unlocks.

Planters can sow stored seeds

  • Empty crop spaces previously needed seeds planted by hand.
  • Insert an Auto-Planter and seeds to refill empty spaces beside your Auto-Harvester, with no extra fuel or power.
  • Available on Original at Distributor rank for $6,500 or through schematics. Normal crops still need manual harvesting.

ATM deposits keep packed drugs in your inventory

  • Packed drug bags could be taken as cash when depositing at an ATM.
  • Only Cash is deposited now; cannabis, cocaine and heroin bags stay in your inventory.

Support answers follow the current growing rules

  • Some support replies used outdated growing advice or repeated requests for details.
  • The guides now cover indoor plants, Grow Lamps, packing presses and cash-only seeds.

Radio crates make room for bonus rewards

  • A full helicopter or Bradley crate could lose its rolled radio or custom-item bonus.
  • Original crates now keep their base loot and make room for the earned bonus.

Night Surge starts without the recurring sound

  • The recurring Night Surge start sound interrupted players every sunset.
  • Original keeps the on-screen announcement and Night Surge gameplay without the sound.

Called helicopters fight back and squads call one at a time

  • Squads could call many helicopters together and shoot them safely because only one player was ever targeted.
  • Each squad now fights one at a time, 30 minutes apart, and the helicopter fires back at anyone who damages it.
  • Helicopter crates hold about half the rockets and C4. The schematic piece covers a squad's first three calls each wipe.

Big grow-ops now carry real running costs

  • Large farms ran almost free: crafted planters, seeds that came back every harvest and one fuel per automated crop.
  • Coca and poppy no longer return seeds; the Illegal Dealer sells packs of 50 for $2,250 and $4,500. Cannabis still returns seeds.
  • Hydroponic Planters now cost $9,000 and Large Planter Boxes are shop-only. Small ones stay craftable.

Large Planter Boxes now cost $5,000

  • Large Planter Boxes stayed at $4,000 while the other grow-op running costs rose.
  • The Outpost Construction Store now sells them for $5,000, so expanding a farm is a real investment. Small planters stay craftable.

Auto-Harvesters now run on Harvester Filters

  • Auto-Harvesters burned four Low Grade Fuel per crop no matter what was growing, and big farms crafted that fuel for free.
  • They now spend Harvester Filters sold by the Illegal Dealer: 1 per cannabis crop, 5 per coca and 10 per poppy, taken only after the harvest is stored.
  • Filters come in packs of 100 for $500. Fuel left in a planter is not used any more; take it out and add filters to restart the harvester.

TC tiers show your saved upgrades as your base grows

  • Small bases could show tier 5 without saved upgrades, then appear to drop to tier 0 after expanding.
  • Cupboards now show their saved tier and allow permanent cash or toolkit upgrades at any base size.
  • Original keeps its small-base building allowance, and opening a new TC no longer counts as an upgrade.

Large Planter Boxes unlock at 500 reputation

  • Large Planter Boxes needed 2,500 Outpost reputation, which only a handful of players reach each wipe.
  • The Construction Store now sells them at 500 reputation, so most farms can expand for cash. Small planters stay craftable.

Life

Support tickets keep the details you already provided

  • Follow-ups could ask again for a profile or keep checking the wrong reported player.
  • Linked accounts and supplied profiles stay with the ticket, and corrected reports retain the updated player.

Unresolved reports can reach the support team

  • A report could be marked for review without notifying the support team.
  • Unresolved reports now send one notification without repeating it on follow-ups.

  • An acknowledgement could send another review request after the support team had already replied.
  • Follow-ups now respect existing support handling, while unhandled reports can still request help.

Plane crash flames leave bases and storage intact

  • Plane crash fires could burn nearby bases and destroy stored items.
  • Crash flames now spare buildings, doors, cupboards and boxes.
  • Event fires stay contained while remaining dangerous to players.

A clearer handbook for both gamemodes

  • The old help menu crowded topics and tutorial information together.
  • Small topic buttons, larger headings and separate tutorials make /help easier to browse.
  • Tutorial details use compact panels, readable line breaks and familiar green hover colours.

Correct timers and rewards in help

  • Some handbook pages and tutorials quoted old patrol rewards, combat timers and capture instructions.
  • Patrol payouts, schematic trade guidance, combat timers and capture instructions now reflect current settings.
  • Six outdated recordings are silent; their corrected text cards and other tutorial voices remain available.

Oil rigs now have public recyclers

  • Oil rigs had no public recycler for processing items before heading back to shore.
  • A recycler now sits on each rig's open level-four deck, facing a clear approach.
  • Both gamemodes keep their existing recycling rules.

Original

Standard vendor icons load safely

  • Opening a vendor or viewing an item could trigger a client error.
  • Standard items now use their normal icons, with custom artwork and skins preserved.

NPCs spawn clear of solid containers

  • Airfield soldiers could appear inside closed crates and fire through them.
  • Blocked spawn spots are rejected before and after placement on Original.
  • Zombies finish rising from the ground before their final position is checked.

Zombie sounds are quieter and less frequent

  • Zombie death cues could repeat on every kill and frequent screams overwhelmed nearby sounds.
  • Zombie recordings are now about 8 dB quieter, with longer cooldowns and fewer death and attack cues.

Claim text matches the green button

  • The schematic claim label used yellow text on its green button.
  • CLAIM now uses the original schematic green, with the same claim costs and rewards.

Night Surge and vault alarms are quieter

  • Night Surge, Horde cues and vault alarms could overpower nearby gameplay sounds.
  • Event recordings now play at lower levels, with the largest reduction on the looping vault alarm.
  • Event timing is unchanged.

Binocular marks call artillery immediately

  • Releasing right-click could prevent a marked artillery strike from being called.
  • New marks now call the strike immediately, while rejected marks keep your designator.
  • Applies to Original Gamemode.

Schematic collections survive overlapping saves

  • Schematic collections could disappear when a reconnect overlapped a save.
  • Collected pieces now stay intact during saves, and the confirmed missing pieces have been restored.

Recyclers stop when their cycle ends

  • Some recyclers could keep a processing cycle scheduled after being switched off.
  • Stopping or emptying a recycler now cancels its cycle, with existing speeds and special recycler settings preserved.

Paid skill points can be reset for cash

  • Skills could not be reset for carried cash.
  • Reset Skills returns recorded paid points, starting at $2,500; bank money is not used.
  • Earlier builds without purchase-cost records stay unchanged and cannot use paid resets.

VIP+ and Infected regain supply drops

  • The supply-drop kit was unavailable to both ranks on Original.
  • VIP+ and Infected can now access their supply-drop kit with /kit supplydrop.
  • The usual kit cooldown still applies.

Failed guard summons preserve your cooldown

  • Summoning guards inside a safe zone could start a two-hour cooldown without spawning any guards.
  • Failed summons now explain where to retry, and the cooldown starts only after a guard appears.
  • Original keeps its existing safe-zone spawn protection.

Outpost drone stations stay powered

  • Drone stations could not accept orders on Original maps without a Power Plant.
  • Outpost A, B and C now have permanent grid power, so players no longer need Power Plant fuses.
  • An empty drone station still needs a few minutes to charge.

Sleeping bags support repeated respawns

  • Sleeping bags previously disappeared after a single respawn.
  • Bags now remain available for repeated use, with normal repair behaviour and respawn cooldowns.
  • Existing ownership, tutorial placement progress and the Sleeper health benefit are preserved on Original.

A stronger start after linking your accounts

  • The free starter kit previously offered fewer tools and supplies, and newcomers could not preview it before linking.
  • New claimants now receive metal tools, a crossbow with 64 arrows, clothing, food, water, medicine and supplies for a first base.
  • Link Discord and Steam, then use /claimkit on Original. Previous claims keep their existing limits, and a full inventory leaves the kit unclaimed.

Support tickets keep the details you already provided

  • Follow-ups could ask again for a profile or keep checking the wrong reported player.
  • Linked accounts and supplied profiles stay with the ticket, and corrected reports retain the updated player.

Hospital scavenging needs less radiation protection

  • Hospital previously required the same radiation protection as military sites.
  • Hospital radiation is now 10 while Military Station and Military Airfield remain at 25.
  • Clear custom monuments stay clear on Original.

Custom sounds leave more room for nearby gameplay

  • Long zombie sounds and loud narration could drown out nearby gameplay.
  • Zombie combat clips, tutorial voices, Horde cues and vault alarms now play more quietly.
  • Chase and tension clips end after five seconds, and vault alarms stop after thirty seconds.

Mute appeals can include current restriction details

  • Mute appeals could lack current restriction details.
  • Linked players can now have their current mute records checked during an appeal.
  • Recorded positions are checked on demand, with missing evidence clearly identified.

Blocked items stay out of industrial crafting

  • Industrial crafters previously accepted blueprints for items unavailable to hand crafting.
  • Those items now reject industrial crafting and research without consuming ingredients.
  • Restricted blueprints remain unlearnable on Original.

Report follow-ups keep their existing support handling

  • An acknowledgement could send another review request after the support team had already replied.
  • Follow-ups now respect existing support handling, while unhandled reports can still request help.

Revives complete without losing follow-up effects

  • Revive confirmation could interrupt recovery effects and team revive credit.
  • Revives now finish normally, and missing defibrillators show the required item.

Schematic progress survives interrupted saves

  • Temporary connection failures could leave schematic progress waiting to save.
  • Pending saves now recover across reconnects and reloads without repeating rewards.
  • Original pauses schematic spending only while progress needs confirmation.

Plane crash flames leave bases and storage intact

  • Plane crash fires could burn nearby bases and destroy stored items.
  • Crash flames now spare buildings, doors, cupboards and boxes.
  • Event fires stay contained while remaining dangerous to players.

Infected rewards arrive when membership activates

  • Players previously needed another level before receiving earlier Infected rewards.
  • Eligible rewards now arrive after activation or login without repeating paid levels.
  • Catch-up covers the current 50-level cycle. Use /passhelp for the cutoff.

Call tiered helicopter and Bradley fights with vehicle radios

  • Vehicle encounters previously relied on scheduled patrols; radios now let you start a fight when your squad is ready.
  • Buy Patrol and Armoured radios from the Illegal Dealer, or find Gunship radios at the Smuggler. One radio pays entry with no activation fee.
  • Stronger crates can drop another radio; Gunship fights can also drop a finished custom item. Public wreck alerts let other players counter.

Bradleys keep moving when combat begins

  • Spotting a target could freeze the patrol with repeated movement errors.
  • Original Bradleys now enter combat with a valid route and resume their patrol normally.

Original wipes at 3 pm Eastern on Thursdays

  • Original previously wiped three hours later at 5 pm Central.
  • Weekly and monthly wipes now begin at 3 pm Eastern, 2 pm Central and noon Pacific.
  • Perth: Friday 3 am during US daylight saving, 4 am during US standard time.

A clearer handbook for both gamemodes

  • The old help menu crowded topics and tutorial information together.
  • Small topic buttons, larger headings and separate tutorials make /help easier to browse.
  • Tutorial details use compact panels, readable line breaks and familiar green hover colours.

Night Surge begins with a darker warning siren

  • The old start sound used a sharp alarm and infected screech.
  • A deeper siren now builds more slowly before the second swell.
  • The new sound plays when Night Surge starts on Original.

Current bank and cupboard instructions

  • The handbook still described old bank entry steps and omitted cupboard upgrade supplies.
  • Bank guidance now explains Vault Drills and Scraptown intel; cupboard guidance lists the supplies to bring.
  • Schematic trade offers are correctly shown as refreshing every 4 hours.

Regular Bradley crates now guarantee a weapon

  • Regular Bradley crates could contain no weapon and often dropped guns in poor condition.
  • Every crate now gives a 60-100% condition weapon and two supply rolls, with more room for ammunition.
  • C4 chance is now 25%, and explosive ammo has a 50% chance to drop about 50-100 rounds on Original.

Dealer ranks unlock farming stock and runners

  • The old drug trade offered little farming progression or control over bag sales.
  • The Illegal Dealer now brings drug sales, ranks, farming stock and runner management together in the laptop.
  • Sales pay carried Cash, locked items explain their requirements, and the dealer still buys and sells normal goods.

Voiced farming guides explain the items and steps

  • First Harvest and Auto-Harvester instructions previously had no matching narration.
  • Both now explain planting, processing or planter installation with clear spoken steps and enough time to finish.
  • Seven refreshed survival and Outpost recordings are also available on Original.

Dedicated presses pack processed drugs into bags

  • Drug production previously relied on the old mixing system.
  • Matching presses now pack 10 processed units into a bag over time, so you can start a batch and walk away.
  • Raw crops, processed drugs, bags and farming equipment have distinct icons and clearer item guidance.

Planter harvesters collect ripe crops into built-in storage

  • Collecting a large drug crop previously meant picking plants by hand.
  • Add an Auto-Harvester and Low Grade Fuel to your planter to collect ripe crops automatically; full storage pauses it.
  • Collected items split into normal inventory stacks. The Reaping Sickle also harvests a whole eligible planter.

Oil rigs now have public recyclers

  • Oil rigs had no public recycler for processing items before heading back to shore.
  • A recycler now sits on each rig's open level-four deck, facing a clear approach.
  • Both gamemodes keep their existing recycling rules.

Life

Life highlights match the website yellow

  • Menus, job descriptions and help messages previously used several different yellows.
  • They now use Life's warm yellow, with warning, rarity and VIP distinctions preserved.

Retrieved vehicles need a clear spot

  • Vehicles could be returned to spots without enough room around them.
  • Garages now check the ground and surrounding space at roads and helipads. Unsafe spots leave your vehicle stored so you can move and try again.
  • Retrieving no longer forces you into a seat. Board once your vehicle is ready.

Vehicle names and pictures fit their cards

  • Helicopter names could spill outside their header, while vehicle pictures carried distracting backgrounds.
  • Cars, aircraft, boats, submarines and the motorbike now have clear, background-free pictures.
  • Vehicle names stay inside their cards, and saved vehicles use the matching new pictures.

Preview your Life kit before claiming

  • Open Kits on the laptop to inspect cash, medical supplies and supply-drop contents.
  • See cooldowns and inventory requirements before claiming.
  • The linked starter panel shows account status and opens a copyable account-page link.

Open your kits with /kit

  • The Kits icon no longer appears in the mobile menu.
  • Use /kit to open the same kit previews and claim controls.

Kit messages match the server colours

  • Kit help and notifications now use white text with yellow highlights.
  • Commands, kit names and claim requirements stay the same.

Laptop updates follow the latest Discord posts

  • Recent updates could stay on an old announcement or omit the latest changes.
  • The laptop now checks for new posts every minute and reads their change details.
  • Reopen the main menu to see the latest updates for your gamemode.

Laptop updates show a short summary

  • Long update posts could fill the laptop main menu.
  • The menu now shows three short highlights from the latest update.
  • Read the full changelog at theprojectlazarus.com/updates.

Original

The daily login page is clearer

  • The daily login page now shows your week streak, the seven-day progress and one claim button in a clear header, with day tiles below.
  • Tap any day to see what it pays, and the Rewards tab button shows a dot when a daily reward is waiting.

Infected chain stages now show their task

  • Each Infected chain stage now says what to do under its name, so a stage like Sky Dominance shows the objective instead of only the title.
  • Mission text across daily, weekly and Infected missions uses the same yellow highlight as the rest of the laptop.

Wipe day moves to Thursday 5 pm Central

  • Original now wipes every Thursday at 5 pm Central US time (11 pm UK), so the fresh map lands right as most players get home.
  • The monthly big wipe stays on the first Thursday of the month at the same new time.

Survival Arc keeps counting infected kills without the noise

  • Kills of ordinary NPCs never counted toward the Survival Arc, but each one was being recorded as a bad event on the server.
  • Those kills are now skipped quietly, and infected kills keep counting toward Face the Infection exactly as before.

Original now uses the same warm yellow highlight as Life

  • Every menu accent, in-game highlight, and important word in chat messages on Original now uses the softer yellow that Life already has.
  • Nothing about the menus themselves or how anything plays has changed; only the colour did.

Dealer vehicles keep you above the water

  • Some dealer spawn points could place purchased or rented vehicles underwater.
  • Dealer spawning now checks the minimum height before placing you in the vehicle.

Survivor credit goes to players who reach dawn

  • Night Surge credit could previously include players who had died or joined late.
  • Stay alive and connected from the start of the surge until sunrise to earn survivor credit.

Retrieved vehicles stay above the road

  • At Coastal, a retrieved minicopter could appear beneath a raised road and pull its pilot underground.
  • Vehicles now use the road surface and need clear space around them. Unsafe retrievals leave the vehicle stored.
  • Retrieving no longer forces you into a seat. Walk over and board once your vehicle is ready.

Bars, frames, and outlines on Original are back to their own colours

  • The recent yellow change was meant for text only, but it also recoloured the level bar, panel frames, tints, and the drone outline.
  • Those pieces now show their original colours again, while highlighted text, chat messages, and notifications keep the warm yellow.

Retreating soldiers stay vulnerable

  • Soldiers could ignore your hits while regrouping and repeatedly retreat after the same losses.
  • You can now damage retreating soldiers, and oil rig and cargo defenders hold smaller groups on their own decks.

The Original phone's money, level, and standing readout is back in its own green

  • The readout strip at the top of the phone screen had picked up the new yellow along with the text highlights.
  • Its cash, bank, level, and reputation icons and numbers now show the darker green they always used, the same as on Life.

Infected VIP garage slots are unlocked

  • Infected VIP members were seeing their extra garage slots locked.
  • Infected VIP now provides a second slot for cars, helicopters and boats on Original.

Vehicle names and pictures fit their cards

  • Helicopter names could spill outside their header, while vehicle pictures carried distracting backgrounds.
  • All 11 vehicles now have clear, background-free pictures, with names kept inside their cards.
  • Vehicles already saved in your garage show the new pictures too.

Preview your kit before claiming

  • Open Kits on your laptop to inspect inventory, belt and clothing items before claiming.
  • See cooldowns and claim requirements, with clearer feedback when your inventory is full.
  • The linked starter panel shows your account status and opens a copyable account-page link.

Open your kits with /kit

  • The Kits icon no longer appears in the mobile menu.
  • Use /kit to open the same kit previews and claim controls.

Phone commands open cleanly

  • Typing phone or menu with no extra text no longer triggers a server error.
  • The normal phone opening flow is unchanged.

Kit messages match the server colours

  • Kit help and notifications now use white text with yellow highlights.
  • Commands, kit names and claim requirements stay the same.

Night scavenging brings better supplies

  • Extra night finds could be basic food or worn starter gear.
  • Night Surge now offers more loose loot and useful components, attachments, ammunition and gear.
  • Selected elite and locked crates have a 50% chance of one extra higher-grade item.

New players hear about the free starter kit the first time they spawn

  • Many new players never found out the starter kit existed. The first time you spawn in, a single chat message now tells you it is ready and how to claim it.
  • Not linked yet? That first message points you to the account page instead. Either way it is sent once, so it never nags you again.

Night Surge explains why to scavenge

  • Night Surge previously put a long objective and payout message into chat.
  • A short notice and first-time voiced guide now explain the extra night loot and infected pressure.
  • The full guide stays readable in four lines and can be replayed from Tutorials.

Read the Brute's attack

  • Clearer attack tells make infected rushes easier to react to.
  • Listen for the Brute's wind-up, dodge sideways and attack during its recovery.
  • Completed outbreaks remove their main map marker, with a brief marker left for the Brute's key.

Earn more from an outbreak

  • Smaller waves reduce the grind, while extra corpse supplies help you stay in the fight.
  • Earn a 250 Cash breach bonus and a larger shared Brute reward when more survivors take part.
  • The Brute still drops a Survivor Cache Key, and each completed outbreak keeps its 10% rare schematic chance.

Outbreaks wait for the first survivor

  • Travelling to an outbreak no longer uses up your fighting time.
  • Enter the marked area to begin, clear the infected, defend the breach and bring down the Brute.
  • A clearer objective HUD, first-time tips and a coloured breach boundary show what to do next.

More supplies to scavenge at monuments

  • Many monument loot spots were left empty during normal scavenging.
  • Active routes now fill 70-80% of mapped spots, reaching 100% during Night Surge with more night-cache rolls.
  • Nearby rooms can refill sooner as you explore. Existing safe-zone and underground exclusions remain.

Outbreak HUD stays inside the marked area

  • The outbreak HUD could appear beyond the circle shown on your map, even after leaving the fight.
  • It now appears inside the marked area and disappears when you leave, keeping your screen clear.

Jungle and Ice rifles now cost the same to repair as a standard assault rifle

  • Either rifle now costs 1200 at full damage, the same as a standard assault rifle, and heavy plate is 800, 1000 and 650.
  • They previously cost a flat 100 however badly damaged, because none of them carry a vendor purchase price to work from.
  • Keeping a rare rifle or a full plate set in the field no longer costs a fraction of everyone else's upkeep.

Pass challenges fit more kinds of play

  • Shorter treatment, scavenging and infected goals replace daily chores, while supply drops move to weekly challenges.
  • Earn credit across different Outpost activity families and evidence types, or recover qualifying heist and expedition loot.
  • Opening supplies can count for each survivor; empty crates and repeated openings do not add progress.

Mission notices explain the next step

  • Ready notices tell you to return to Outpost, and reward receipts identify the job you handed in.
  • Alert line breaks display correctly, with a short success sound after a completed hand-in.

Outpost jobs reward more varied survival work

  • Repetitive equipment orders give way to practical supplies, smaller gathering goals and clearer recovery jobs.
  • Earn weekly rewards by completing different supply jobs or patrols in different locations.
  • Existing accepted missions keep their progress and rewards. New emergency clocks start when you accept.

Recover records and bring them back to Outpost

  • Clear infected, restore the radio camp and protect supplies through the encounter's objectives.
  • Return Clinic records, Dead Air transmissions or recovered dog tags for Cash, reputation and the listed rewards.
  • Secured supplies show loot markers; emptied sites warn you before they disappear. Keep the radio earned at the camp.

Chinook crash alerts explain the objective

  • Crash alerts previously gave the location without explaining how to earn rewards.
  • Alerts now explain holding the zone and waiting for crate fires to go out, with ten seconds to read them.

Field Dressing supply jobs leave the rotation

  • Clinic Restock and Patrol Resupply are no longer selected for new Outpost jobs.
  • Jobs already accepted keep their requirements and rewards.

Recovery notes are easier to recognise

  • Transmission Records now show their clipboard icon without the loading badge.
  • Four recovery notes use short instructions naming the Outpost job that accepts them.

Zombie sounds no longer obstruct combat

  • Temporary sound carriers could appear where zombie calls played.
  • Sound carriers now stay below the scene so vision and shots remain clear.

Chinook notices appear once in Lazarus Alert

  • Crash announcements previously appeared in duplicate popups.
  • Event notices now use Lazarus Alert with clear crash-site and crate instructions.

Open vault doors let infected through

  • An open vault door could still stop infected at the entrance.
  • Infected can now follow survivors through an opened vault doorway.
  • Closed vault doors continue to block their passage on Original.

Cupboard upgrades show their costs together

  • Upgrade supplies were hidden behind a separate scrolling panel, and the toolkit could look mandatory.
  • All required items now appear with icons and counts, while the Structural Toolkit is clearly shown as an optional shortcut.
  • Clearer tier information and cupboard notices help you see what is unlocked and what to do next.

Random zombie calls are removed from distress sites

  • Background zombie recordings could play between waves with no infected nearby.
  • Scripted site ambience is disabled; actual infected keep their usual sounds.

Distress waves use stronger infected groups

  • Weak health and damage overrides reduced the threat of some infected.
  • Waves now use normal variant health and damage, with more Rotters, Sawbones and Brutes across the enabled encounters.
  • Enemy totals, defence timers and rewards are unchanged.

Radio camp generators become part of the defence

  • Infected previously ignored the generator during the transmission.
  • Two infected now take separate attack positions while the others pursue players.
  • Restore power with an eight-second Reload hold while keeping transmission progress; the generator allows two shutdowns.

Skills stays selected in the phone dock

  • Opening Skills previously cleared its selected tab highlight.
  • The Skills tab now stays highlighted while its app is open on Original.

Every assigned contract stays within reach

  • Contracts beyond the first four were hidden at the vendor, including completed jobs.
  • Completed contracts now appear first, with PREV and NEXT for additional pages.
  • Schematic reward images reuse the cache when you reopen contracts and reward details.

Expired listings stop using selling slots

  • Expired and sold listings could fill your selling allowance.
  • Only active, unexpired listings count toward the 17 selling slots.
  • Collect proceeds from every sold listing, including through Claim All.

Cash out larger rare finds

  • A minigun could be worth more than your entire personal cash-out allowance.
  • Your limit is now $16,000 per visit; the shared $25,000 allowance remains.
  • Launcher buyback prices stay below their discounted Outpost purchase price.

Building supplies stay available

  • Buying supplies could empty stock for everyone else.
  • Construction stock is unlimited; nails, cement, plates and HQM kits need no reputation.
  • Prices and cupboard upgrade costs stay the same.

List items with a smaller upfront fee

  • Listings previously cost 10% before anything sold.
  • Pay 2% upfront and the remaining fee only after a sale; Tax Benefit keeps its 5% total.
  • Existing listings will not be charged the new sale fee.

Survivor bunker is at Mansion

  • The bunker marker previously led to the old location in M11.
  • The bunker door and cache now sit at Mansion in K14, matching their intended placement.

Airfield patrols recover from blocked paths

  • The Bradley could remain stranded against wreckage because clear ground was treated as blocked.
  • It now finds safe recovery points along the Airfield route and resumes patrolling.

More choice at the smuggler

  • The old six-item selection stopped you buying another item from the same category.
  • Each visit offers 14 items, with 1-4 purchases per item for each player and no reputation requirement.
  • The personal cash-out cap is gone. The shared $25,000 visit budget still applies across all players.

Shop icons request their intended skins

  • Some shop icons previously requested a missing skin and waited for a timeout.
  • Unskinned items now use their normal icons while custom skins stay intact.
  • Applies to item lists and item details on Original.

Repair with parts and money in one payment

  • Repairs on blocked gear previously required money.
  • Salvaged parts now cover their share of the bill, with cash or bank paying the remainder.
  • The bench shows the total and payment breakdown above one REPAIR button.

Laptop updates follow the latest Discord posts

  • Recent updates could stay on an old announcement or omit the latest changes.
  • The laptop now checks for new posts every minute and reads their change details.
  • Reopen the main menu to see the latest updates for your gamemode.

Smuggler gold keeps its premium

  • Gold could pay less at the smuggler than at ordinary vendors.
  • The smuggler gold minimum is now $550; ordinary gold remains $500.
  • Hazmat resale keeps its current payout, with a lower maximum to prevent a future buyback profit loop.

Vendor sales preserve custom gear

  • Selling an ordinary item could take a custom version from your inventory instead.
  • Ordinary sales now preserve custom gear, while custom items still use their matching sale rows.
  • Locked items and blueprints are excluded from ordinary sales.

Laptop updates show a short summary

  • Long update posts could fill the laptop main menu.
  • The menu now shows three short highlights from the latest update.
  • Read the full changelog at theprojectlazarus.com/updates.

Duplicate pieces work in rotating trades

  • Duplicate pieces could be rejected when paying for a rotating deal.
  • Use four pieces from the same tier, including duplicates, to receive one eligible piece from the next tier.
  • Original keeps its existing collection costs, reward chances and one-for-one downward trades.

Monuments and heists recover after the weekly wipe

  • Late monument markers could leave NPCs and heists missing after a new map loaded.
  • Monument discovery now waits for full coverage, and incomplete wipes stop before map rotation.
  • Heists reset on a new save, preserve progress through normal restarts, and use safe exits on each map.

Checkpoint defenders arrive with intact cover

  • Checkpoints could stall with too few defenders or disappear when NPCs broke their own sandbags.
  • NPC groups now have enough spawn space, and event cover survives NPC contact.
